Job Description

As a Director I, Sales and Business Development, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the distribution and movement of our products and services to customers. They will be tasked with establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, as well as implementing training programs for sales representatives. The successful candidate will analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential, inventory requirements, and monitor customer preferences.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand our customer base while maintaining strong and long-lasting relationships with existing clients.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement integrated sales and marketing plans, including pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies, capitalize on potential opportunities, and minimize risks.
  • Implement customer engagement strategies and monitor customer satisfaction, addressing issues and concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer loyalty and retention.
  • Develop and maintain sales budgets, track performance, and provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales activities and performance indicators.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives, providing ongoing coaching to ensure they are well-equipped to meet their individual and team sales targets.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Certifications

  • Certified Sales Professional (CSP)
  • Certified Sales Executive (CSE)
  • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
