Job Description

As an Agent, Reservations, you will be responsible for making and confirming reservations for transportation or lodging, as well as sell transportation tickets. You may also be tasked with checking baggage, directing passengers to designated concourses, piers, or tracks; delivering tickets and contacting individuals and groups to inform them of package tours; and providing tourists with travel or transportation information.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make and confirm reservations for individual clients and groups using reservation systems and tools.
  • Sell ensuring a customer-friendly experience.
  • Assist clients with itinerary planning and travel recommendations, including package tours and special offers.
  • Provide in-depth travel and transportation information to tourists as needed.
  • Maintain contact with individuals and groups to keep them informed of reservation statuses, changes, and updates.
  • Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth reservation processes and client satisfaction.
  • Adhere to established procedures and practices in all aspects of the reservation process, while maintaining a focus on quality and customer service.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience

  • Requires expertise in a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
  • Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others but not a supervisor
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
  • Has 1 to 2 years of work experience

Education

  • High School Diploma and/or Associate's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
