Job Description

As a Butler Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the organization to ensure smooth operations and satisfactory experiences for guests. This role requires sound decision-making skills, excellent resource management, and a strong commitment to organizational plans and goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the lodging department, ensuring that all guest needs are met and complaints are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and standards to maintain and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
  • Evaluate performance of team members, providing guidance, coaching, and training as needed to improve their skills and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control expenses, identifying opportunities to optimize financial performance and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners as necessary to maintain quality accommodations and services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into departmental operations as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience

  • Manages service, support, or professional associates and/or supervisors
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Decisions guided by policy, resources and business plan
  • Receives moderate guidance
  • Has 5 to 7 years of work experience
  • Has at least 3 years of management experience

Education

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Certifications

  • Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA)
  • Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS)
  • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
