Job Description

As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for mixing and baking ingredients to produce a variety of delectable baked goods, including breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, and pastries. Your creativity and baking mastery will help us provide exceptional products to our customers while maintaining safety and quality standards in our bakery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix ingredients according to specific recipes to produce a wide array of baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
  • Properly measure and weigh ingredients, avoiding waste and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Operate various baking equipment, such as ovens, mixers, and slicers, safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the development of new recipes or adapt existing ones to create innovative and delicious baked goods.
  • Routinely inspect the quality of ingredients, notifying management of any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Keep inventory of supplies and ingredients, notifying management when restocking is needed.
  • Continuously update knowledge on baking techniques, industry trends, and new products.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience

  • Requires expertise in a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
  • Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others but not a supervisor
