Job Description

The Employee Dining Room Server is responsible for providing courteous, efficient, and timely service to all team members utilizing the employee dining facility. This role ensures that food is presented attractively, served safely, and the cafeteria environment is clean, welcoming, and aligned with the resort’s standards. The incumbent reports to the Human Resources Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet all team members in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Set up and replenish food and beverage stations in the staff cafeteria.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, dining tables, and beverage stations throughout service.
  • Ensure all food items are clearly labelled, properly stored, and displayed attractively.
  • Communicate with the kitchen to ensure adequate food supply and timely replenishment.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper hygiene, glove usage, and temperature checks.
  • Assist with dishwashing, tray return area, and waste disposal as needed.
  • Monitor inventory of cafeteria supplies (utensils and furniture) and report shortages.
  • Support with setup and breakdown during special staff events or themed meal days.
  • Handle staff inquiries or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues when needed.

Work Experience

  • Requires knowledge and prior experience in a similar capacity
  • Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers
  • At least one (1) year of work experience in food service Operations
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
