Job Description

As a Sales Manager II, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the distribution or movement of products or services to customers. This role ensures the effective management of sales territories, quotas, and goals and establishes training programs for sales representatives. The Sales Manager II will also analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential, inventory requirements, and to monitor customer preferences.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, territory plans, and forecasts to achieve company sales objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and distributors.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of sales representatives to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Monitor and manage sales budgets, expenditures, and resources to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to develop and execute promotional plans and activities.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and provide guidance and support for your team.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Certifications

  • Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP)
  • Certified Sales Executive (CSE)
  • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
