Job Description

As a Technician II, Trades, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment in various trades, such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC. You will troubleshoot and diagnose issues, perform regular maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair machinery malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Install and assemble new equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and order necessary supplies for repairs and maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with other technicians and tradespeople on projects.
• Train and mentor junior technicians.
• Respond to emergency repair calls in a timely manner.
• Utilize various hand and power tools.
• Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with engineers and contractors to plan and implement upgrades and modifications.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience

• Requires expertise in a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
• Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others but not a supervisor
• Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
• Has 4 to 5 years of work experience

Competencies

Education

• High School Degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Certifications

• Certifications may be required or preferred.
