Job Description

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for mixing and serving drinks to guests, directly or through waitstaff. This role demands knowledge and skills gained through formal training or considerable work experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve beverages according to standard recipes and customer requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current drink trends and cocktail recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging in friendly conversation with patrons when appropriate.
  • Check customer identification to ensure they meet the legal age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
  • Monitor customer behavior to prevent overconsumption, and act responsibly when needed to address any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage items.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of the bar area for special events as required.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience

  • Requires knowledge and skills gained through formal training or considerable work experience
  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
  • Has 2 to 3 years of work experience

Education

  • High School Degree or equivalent is preferred.
