Job Description
As a Supervisor I, Food and Beverage, you will be responsible for directly supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in preparing and serving food. Your role will include overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing exceptional customer service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the food preparation, plating, and service for Food & Beverage operations, ensuring that quality standards are maintained consistently.
- Develop and maintain positive communication with both front and back-of-house staff to foster a supportive and team-oriented work environment.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their performance and development.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders when necessary, and ensuring proper storage of food items, equipment, and supplies.
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner, always striving to provide exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices in accordance with local health department guidelines and company standards.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of sales promotions, special events, and marketing strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry trends, seasonal menu items, and local competitors to ensure the continued success and growth of the Food & Beverage operations.
- Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Work Experience
- Requires expertise in a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
- Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others but not a supervisor
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
- Has 4 to 5 years of work experience
Competencies
Education
- High School Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certifications
- Certifications may be required or preferred.
