Job Description

As a Baker II, you will be responsible for working closely with a team to mix and bake ingredients, crafting a variety of high-quality breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, and other baked goods for our customers. You will also serve as a working supervisor that ensures the efficiency and productivity of the business support team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mix and bake ingredients following recipes and guidelines to produce a variety of breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, and other baked goods.
  • Supervise and support the business support team, ensuring efficiency and quality in their work, and taking on tasks when needed.
  • Analyze and resolve on-going problems, working to improve bakery processes, systems, and operations.
  • Ensure that all products are prepared and stored according to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assess the quality and freshness of ingredients and baked goods - taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Work effectively within established precedents and practices, consistently delivering high-quality baked goods.
  • Train new bakers as needed, sharing knowledge and experience for the benefit of the team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety and efficiency in the bakery environment.
  • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
